Yoga aims to improve overall health and well-being through the use of postures (asanas) and breath work (pranayama). Many different forms of yoga exist and much research has ascertained its therapeutic benefits. Certain postures have been seen to have positive effects on strengthening the body's ability to speed up recovery and healing. Postures are designed to stretch and strengthen the muscles as well as massage and flush out organs, the lymphatic structure, and improve posture and breathing.
