Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
Traditional Chinese medicine (also known as TCM) is a traditional healing system which often includes herbal remedies, acupuncture and detailed diagnostic techniques. Diagnosis is based on assessing the balance of Yin/Yang energy in a patient and uses the theory of the 5 elements (Wind, Water, Earth, Fire and Metal) to restore balance. Remedies are chosen based on their ability to resonate and balance the elements through their corresponding frequencies (a mixture of cooling or heating properties and taste properties.) Remedies are usually a mixture of herbs and unique in combination to match the person being treated.
TCM is used to treat a very wide range of ailments.
